The Department of Parent and Community Outreach supports Garden Grove Unified School
District schools in the implementation of parent education programs such as the 10 Education Commandments for Parents, 40 Developmental Assets, CABE Project
2Inspire and Parent Expectations Support Achievement (PESA). The department coordinates district wide events that promote higher
education such as College Fair, Roadmap to College, Life After High School and Career
Fair. The Community Outreach Meetings bring relevant information to
parents as well as Resource Fairs to share community resources.
Every other Wednesday you can listen to the district Radio Show in Vietnamese on
Radio Bolsa 1480 AM @ 7:00 pm. There are guest speakers who discuss relevant
Education topics with experts in the field. There are many opportunities for parents to be
involved through the district's Parent Task Force, District Advisory Committee (DAC) and District
English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC). GGUSD encourages all parents
to be involved in their children’s education.
